Four new stunning mural art can be seen by locals in Bedminster as they are on full display on shops on North Street. Local female artists, Bex Glover, Zoe Power, Gemma Compton and Sophie Long, have painted magnificent pieces on top of Like Sew Amazing, Zara’s Chocolates, Upfest and South West Upholstery shop fronts! The chairman of Bedminster BID, Simon Dicken, has stated that the final two murals will be finished in Easter time of 2022, with local artists Ejits and Lucas Antics set to paint above Oowee Diner and Peter Burrows & Co Solicitors. Make sure you keep an eye out to enjoy the beautiful paintings and brighten up your Christmas shopping when you next walk down North Street!

West Street Carol Service

Nothing gets you into the Christmas spirit quite like listening and singing to some carols, which is why you need to attend the West Street Carol Service this year! On the 14th of December 2021 outside of Mezzaluna at 6pm, West Street Carol will bless Bedminster streets with the full brass band of the Salvation Army and undoubtedly fill the streets with Christmas cheer. Whether you want are an avid carol singer, or simply want to enjoy the Christmas spirit with the community - this is a great opportunity to enjoy some festive fun! Harbour Hopes

Join in the conversation and have your say to come up with ideas for the future of the Western Harbour area through their workshops and guided walks or their interactive exhibition! Harbour Hopes is a local project that focuses on the future of the Western Harbour area, specifically the regeneration area centred around Cumberland Basin due to its cultural and historical significance in Bristol. Their project has helped spark conversations amongst the Bristol community in the most engaging and creative ways - so why not join in on the action and attend one of the following events? Visioning Day will be hosted on Saturday 20th November 2021 at the Create Centre Gallery, where both Bristol residents and visitors alike are invited to offer insight on the future of Western Harbour. This workshop is a great opportunity to present your thoughts for the project to understand what makes the Western Harbour special to you and have these integrated into the structure of the future roadmap! An interactive exhibition will be hosted at the Create Centre gallery from the 20th of November 2021 to the 19th of December 2021. The exhibition will present the ideas of those involved in the project in a creative way to enlighten visitors on the journey on which the project will embark!
